With the de-contenting of the 9-3 (no lumbar support, no locking gas cap who knows what else) and the redesign which I don't like (9-3 bow tie dash looks cheap to me, '08 grill is ordinary). I think I am done with Saabs for awhile. I love my leased '04 CV but it has gremlins in the electrical system and above average cowle shake according to the dealer) so I can't buy it. (I have posted about this on the 9-3 board). I may look for a CPO but lately the dearlers seem to want too much for CPO compared to new. Safety on the 9-3 is great but only so so on the 9-5 which has not been redesigned since '98.
The toneau cover on my CV (and others I have seen) collapses on itself and gauges itself where the black metal supports are attached. They repainted the first time but did not match the paint on the car. The phone (and OnStar) is analogue and no longer works after December. I have a car less than three years old and less than 30K and the phone is now dead weight with no solution from GM. They did not think of this when they built the car in '04? I paid extra for the mathcing paint amd the phone. The best thing about Saabs is the price.
