1993 Saab turbo 900 convertible - 3rd light above trunk lid works. Fuse is good, bulbs good , yet no power to the rear cluster (green wire terminal). Al others lights work : reverse, tail, parking, turn signal.
When I tap into the 3rd light 12 volts , I can feed the juice into the rear cluster green wire terminal and both brake lights will work . Based on this, I suspect that grounding is AOK and that brake switch is AOK.
Where is the split from the power feed that feeds both the 3rd brake light and the rear cluster lights ? It appears that the rear cluster is fed from a green wire that travels up from under a loom / wire harness in the floor of the trunk luggage compartment and disappears from view. To where?
Am I missing something?
More issues-- since I spliced and tapped into the 12v third brake power wire, the car will no longer turn off . Is this issue related to the brake light issue?
