I bought a used 1990 Saab 900S from Sports and Specialist Cars in Princeton in the mid-1990s and do not recommend them for service. When I test-drove the car, it was clear that the syncros in the gear box were off -- couldn't downshift without troubling noises. They insisted there wasn't any problem but grudgingly checked the transmission anyway. Sure enough, the transmission had to be replaced. They did it before I bought the car but if I hadn't known about the problem beforehand, I would have been stuck. I took the car back to them a couple of times for service because there just wasn't any other place in the area that did Saab work. They were OK but not great. Maybe they've improved since I went there, but I'd definitely do some checking on them before you use them.
