Yeah, I'm aware of the FM modulator, I've heard its better than an FM transmitter or a casette adapter but direct connect is better than all of them. There are also people who have hacked into the audio returns to the head unit from the CD/EQ and used a switch to select them, but you have to have a CD with a 90 minute silent track playing in the CD to get around the C-Bus protocol issue. Another option is an automatic audio switch that works the same way, but currently they are only made for the newer CeNet protocol, not C-Bus.
The last option is an audio jack in place of the alarm LED on the radio face. Wasyl at SaabRadio does them. I think he hacks into the cassette audio inputs on the board. This is a viable option, but it doesn't allow me to power my ipod. I'd need another cable for that. I'm looking for a one-cable clean solution that doesn't involve altering the OEM equipment.
