Many factory sunroofs are Webasto brand underneath. IIRC the ASC Corporation, American Sunroof, has the franchise and are usually quite good about installation.
An aftermarket sunroof will have a black trim edge around the outside that doesn't come with a factory roof, and the headliner will look very good and well finished, but may be in a slightly different texture, but otherwise the aftermarket roof functions as well as OEM roofs. It can also be said that an aftermarket sunroof does not take into account the structural integrity of the roof, whereas the factory sunroof does. Also the opening and closing switches on aftermarket roofs are more clever than Saab factory roofs.
We put many, many, many in Saturns back in back in the 90's with no complaints and have seen many done on other cars with no problems. ASC in San Diego was very responsive to any issues.
