Most people move to Uptown/Lake Calhoun area as the cool/hip place for young professionals. However, parking would be a problem unless your paying $$ - mostly street parking. Commuting would be a drive but your going against traffic. Downtown Minneapolis would be good also - lots of new condo's going up, you might be a ble to get a deal on a lease from a speculator. But same deal w/ parking and commuting.

The SW metro (Edin Prairie) is growing rapidly, however its a suburb and thus more family oriented - I'm in the North Suburbs (Roseville) that is an older suburb but close to both cities. One good thing is there are several indies that will help you take car of your Saabs.
