sheepskin seat covers anyone?

My 9-3 leather is starting to get wrinkled. That's ok with me. Then I started to think that the wrinkling will someday become cracks which will someday turn into holes with foam comming out. Yikes!
Leather conditioner has just been used. (Zymol for the curious)
Side airbags prevent using some sheepskin covers. Some covers have medium sized slits but I don't trust them. I bought a sheepskin cover from JC Whitney. It's like one of those wooden beads cushions (shape-wise) that sits over the seat. There is a strap to wrap around the headrest. The problem is that it's harder to get into the car. One sits down then has to scoot their butt up, slide over, down, up, slide over. Almost like a man cumming.
What is your experience? I'm undecided whether to continue using the cover (used it 1 time only) or give it to somebody else or keep in the the back seat so passenger can pet the soft fur.
One alternative is to keep a towel in the car and cover the bottom seat cushion when I park outside (to keep out sunlight). Right now, only the outer side bolster of the seat is wrinkled.
