First, try to find a reputable indy in your area. Generally, they're less expensive than a dealer.
It is common to replace the pads and rotors together on Saab's, and other cars too. The reason is that by the time that the pad wear is to an extent that replacement is needed, the rotors have worn to an extent that they won't last through another set of pads. A check with a micrometer is the best way to verify this. But, be aware, replacement of pads and rotors together is so common an approach that many DIYers, indies and dealers will proceed to replace the rotors with the pads without any elaborate micrometer check.
Finally, if you have the tools or a friend that can help....rear pad and rotor replacement is one of the easier DIY procedures. If you do, eEuroparts is a good source for OEM pads and rotors at a competitive price (they very commonly beat the dealer's price).
