I have the Valeos from Tire Rack on my 9000 and they are OK. Put them on about 7 months ago and they went through a New England winter just fine. They don't squeak, but they both chatter a bit on the bottom end, but only on the return swipe. The rest of it is fine. They give a clean wipe and are holding up well. I don't like the chatter, but they still wipe well.
Have Bosch ICONs on my wife's 9-5. I drive it maybe once a month so I can't say much about them, but she isn't complaining. Have had those on since October and they seem fine.
Neither brand had any winter freezing/icing issues. But, IMHO, I do use Rain-X washer juice, which I think helps the blades work better, last a bit longer and helps prevent freeze up.
AFAIK, the stock Saab wipers are just Bosch units. Nothing special about them in my book.
I like not having to change to winter blades (which I hate), so these new style blades work for me.
