The road noise seemed OK, but I had the windows down and the roof open.
I went out and looked it over during lunch and I think the interior is a step or two down from the '03 9-5 Linear that was in shop.
I didn't like the dash--too GM like--and the materials seemed on the cheap side. The trunk floor carpet was very chintzy, and the rear seat bottom didn't flip, so there's no flat floor in the sedan. DK if the Combi is different.
I liked driving it, and the 9-5 seemed to have slower reflexes when I got back in it at the end of the day. Not as point and shoot. But it also felt more solid than the 9-3. But offhand, I'd rather do a long trip in the 9-5. Or even my old 9K.
If I go for one of these at some point I'd only get the 9-3 combi as I like the load capacity. and a point and shoot wagon would be fun.
I'll keep it on the short list, but I never buy new, so a used one would be reasonably priced for what you get.
