Should we even think about buying this car?

Here's the scoop. I found a 2003 dolphin gray (very cool color) 9-3 convert at Andrews of Princeton. Man this is a good lookin' car, it has the Viggen seats, body kit, Viggen everything but the engine. The thing is that the car has a questionable history. A lady bought it as a lease return from a local used car dealer, something about the car scared her so she traded it off in less than a year. Andrews ran their sludge check on the car and ended up flushing the engine because it had lower oil pressure, they also replaced the timing chain which seems very premature to me. They also had to do a little body work on the car which resulted in them painting the whole car because they couldn't get the paintwork to blend in.
The details: 2003 9-3 convert, auto, fully fully loaded, dolphin gray, 68k miles. They're asking about $14k. No Service records, but a clean carfax.
My question is: does the reputation of Andrews of Princeton and Chuck Andrews astute knowledge of Saab's, especially their sludging issues, account for this car's questionable history? Would you feel safe pursuing this car?
If you're unaware of Andrews of Princeton, check out http://www.saabpros.com. I guess that Chuck Andrews is very well known in the Saab community.
