Well, income, lifestyle, and fulfillment are somewhat philosophical and personal, and most all business are different regarding the details of operation, but many businesses share many of the same elements that contribute to success, failure, or stagnation. I’m glad to see you’re now SmartSam. Just keep thinking of yourself that way and the positive frame of mind will feed itself and contribute to more and more positive results. It works, and don’t let anybody tell you differently. While others may have differing viewpoints on what works for them, for me scrapping the negative thoughts and language has worked wonders. I’ve been seriously looking at business and life this way for about six months now, and now, instead of saying “the problem with explaining this to my client...” I catch myself and say, “the challenge of explaining this to my client...” This simple bit of language just puts the concept into a better environment to elicit more positive results.
On a more concrete level, I’ve had a number of opportunities come up in which my first inclination was to blow them off with – “that’s not me” or “I can’t do that” or “it can’t be done.” But that was followed by “why not?” or “how can I think of this creatively to make it happen?” followed by “I can do this.” Well, as it turned out, I went beyond my former self-imposed limits and some of those things did happen and it has created a steamroller of success and forward motion, which is why (as you can see) I’m so adamant about this. Stay positive. It’s a principle that works in universal application. To put it in Saab terms, it will increase your boost pressure.
