Maybe it works for the Army in the Arctic, but the stuff just plain s***s anyplace else. After putting DOT 5 Silicone (note - today there are different DOT 5s that are not silicone) in my Saabs for years, I started putting in DOT 4, and have never looked back. I was never able to get a good bleed with the Silicone. It always trapped air in the system. The DOT 4 bleeds cleanly and quickly, especially in the clutch.
I had started using some ATE Super Blue DOT 4. One place suggested that one year you put in the Super Blue, the next you put in the Amber stuff, and you always know when it's all bled through...
