GM sales are down, but so are everyone else's. Gm hasn't even been the worst hit this month over last year. And do you know what car had a big gain in sales? The Toyota .... Sequoia!
Gm is just trying to advertise their way into a loan. Lots of media talk has centered on how the American companies sell so many SUVs. They make money for them, or at least they should. So GM is going to try and milk that for the sympathy vote.
GM's big problem is their business practices are unprofitable. Not just manufacturing but all their marketing and financial practices too. They are antiquated as a business, not just their product mix. They just re brand instead of developing long term designs. So they spend far more on new models.
