good god man, if a turbo-ed car is expected to blow its turbo ever 3 years you best believe i would be driving a car with nitrous or a Paxton blower, the thing is its relatively hard to pop a turbo unit, that is if everything is running right, and im betting in your case its not. something is at a serious miss to toast 2 turbo units in the life of the car. whos replacing your turbo units and exactly whats going wrong with them, these are the questions you need to ask.
if you blew both units because of bearing failure the units getting to hot mostly because the lack of oil or restricting the coolant from getting to the unit. when the units off this next time around flush you turbo coolant lines and oil lines looking for any foreign matter that's lodged with in them.
and last but not lest, the hole idea of the turbo unit being bad might be perposterious, being its valentines perhaps your mechanic is looking to buy his wife a mountain filled with roses and to achieve this he needs a little extra cash, but how would he get it.
...?? oh i know tell evey customer that they need a new turbo unit, but... none of them will believe it if the car isn't acting funny,,.. hmm.
oh i know put a few holes in the vacuum lines and then drowned the a.c. pulley wheel in degreeser as to get the grease of of the pulley wheel bearing, that should make a loud squeaking grinding noise,. hmhm and with the holes in the vacuum lines the turbo unit wont work well. hmhmhmhmhmh
just know this is a very elaborate plan, and perhaps only i would dream up something like this. but perhaps it would be best to get a second opinion, and find out whats destroying them, (and list what went wrong with them here) im sure with that info we would be able to say, .. oh your flux capacitor needs to be adjusted so the mix to the turbo unit doesn't fall to far on either side.
