Hello All,

On Sunday I graduate from Clark University with a Bachelor's degree in management and a minor in economics. I have had an internship for the past two years, which is culminating into a real job. The job deals with traditional marketing and internet marketing along with sales. The company is a cryogenic service provider (and no we don't freeze people). It is a very small company with low sales volume (less than a million per year). I consider myself very fortunate to be able to have a decent job after graduation, especially considering the current status of the economy.

But, I don't feel happy there. I am given little direction as to what to do. When something is not done due to this lack of direction, the finger gets pointed at me. My experience in business reveals that business in general is always conducted at the last moment at the seat of your pants. Although it is understood that random situations do come up, I don't believe all of them need to be done like that. I am a planner and always have been and when needed, I make decisions given the information I have on hand. I feel that a life in finance (terrible sector right now) could be right for me. Whether it be as an advisor or as an analyst. I'd even love a job that deals with planning and step by step approaches. I love learning new things and often find myself reading wikipedia late at night learning topics of interest.

Now, I have some questions. What exams or certifications must one take to get into the financial / banking sector(s)? What other industries might I want to look into? I am currently located in Massachusetts and don't have the money to just go anywhere. I would like to continue my education in a year and procure a master's degree. I'm lost and I'm open to any suggestions. I know there are many intelligent people on these boards with an abundant amount of experience and knowledge. The bottom line is, I am all ears. Thanks for reading this. Let me know what you think.
