I would not waste my money on a Haynes manual for a Saab. They may be awfully helpful on other car but you cannot beat WIS (Workshop Information System) for SAAB. It's computer software that all dealers and Saab independent shops use. I'm not sure about the legality of "civilian" use, but I have it for the 9-5 and it's invaluable. Copies are available all over eBay, but I honestly can't tell you if you should get one for the 9-5 or 9-3. I'd bet that the 9-3 WIS has a separate engine section for the 2.3t but couldn't guarantee it. Maybe Swedecar can confirm it for us? WIS has every tidbit of information you could ever want about your Saab. Step by step procedures, with clear illustrations, tons of technical information... Here's a screen shot:
