They only took a B&W video camera for the surface shots on Apollo 11. Still photos were color, with Hasselblad cameras. On Apollo 12, they wanted to increase the pizazz factor, and they took a color video camera, but Al Bean accidentally pointed it directly at the sun while setting it up, which fried the thing.
