The ECU has been really interesting. I have the ECU from a '98 5-speed, so it's really an Aero ECU on a '96 CSE with the T-25 turbo.
Immediately after the track day--about 90 miles of really hard driving with lots of full throttle pulls including a couple of hills on each lap to really load the engine--the torque curve was totally different than it is from normal street driving. There were feeling of the turbo coming on. The car just got up and *moved* when I got on the throttle. It really didn't feel like a turbo engine at all. Just a powerful engine. It was strange.
Now, maybe 300-400 miles later, it is back to "normal" with the great surge in power at moderate revs, and excellent mid-range poke. And it feels as if it's making a few more horses than it had before. And I do punch it a bit more often, though! This is all on 93 octane.
Either way, it's a great car to drive.
