are fixing on the road. I had gone there before, and made a note to myself that if I ever drive around there again, I should go on the other lane. Well, this time I was talking to my friend and forgot.
As I approached it, I quickly remembered, and swerved to the right but hit it hard with the front driver wheel. It was hard....I mean, I never hit any potholes, and it was hard. The car is a 2001 Viggen, with stock rims which are known to be "soft." This particular one was brand new, one year old!
Okay, so I drove the car on the highway, 60 to 85 mph, feels super soft, no shaking. But, being hardcore and loving my car, I'd like to check it out. What can possibly break? I suppose the only way to know if I bent the rim is to take it to a shop?
I want to take the wheel off and inspect the inside. Now, once it's off, what do I check, if anything for out of alignment, or that may have been shifted by the blow? Don't know too much about suspension, yet.
Thanks for your help, Bender.
