I wasn't so thrilled... Posted by Larry West [Email] (#1140) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Larry West) on Mon, 28 Sep 2009 09:01:34 In Reply to: new favorite show, jp498, Sat, 26 Sep 2009 04:29:18 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
It's certainly very well put together, but I'd prefer something of a story, or at least following more closely a couple teams. Maybe I should watch them again...
As for the others:
Wheeler Dealers: Good show, interesting, something new every week.
Chasing Classic Cars: Also good, but I don't think they've made more than about six of them, and I've seen them all - Twice. Most interesting was the three-wheeled Davis, and I'd just LOVE to go to "Cars and Coffee" or whatever that is out in CA...
Auto Trader: Interesting, unfortunately, not terribly relevant to the US market. Not like anyone here is test driving a Renault or Skoda or Citroen anytime soon... Wish they would do one for the US market!
Classic Car Club: Interesting show. They feature about 3 cars per episode. One will be an all-out, high-price classic, described by the host, Penny Mallory, who was a former Rally driver, another will be more along the sporty end, and particularly cheap to buy, the third can be almost anything from "new" E-types, to the actual Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! The last segment is usually a car show or something. THey've done micro cars, Minis, all sorts of British classics. Even the Haynes museum (yes, THAT Haynes!).
