so I pour it into the bottles. Where else am I going to pour it in? I suppose I could have used any old 4L bottle of water.
This is all true, about leaking oil, especially after being taken out of storage. Wasn't much, just need to pay more attention. Speaking of oil filters, I should watch my hand...I tend to over tighten things.
Ron, I did notice the bottom of my transmission to be slightly wet with oil, if I can say that. Not much, and it was thicker, which means it was probably there a little while. I plan on doing a transmission flush next year, with the synthetic stuff. Never though of checking the oil level there, it's a little more involved in having to remove the check plug.
