I think there are some posts floating around that borderline on breathing into a brown paper sack. Yes, SAAB is probably gone.
Yes, GM is obligated to honor your remaining warranty.
No, parts won't suddenly vanish, they'll be quite available, and probably for more years than our current SAABs will be serviceable.
No, the current cadre of qualified SAAB mechanics won't suddenly vanish.
Our dealer (Uftring Chevy/SAAB in Washington, IL) has announced they've been discontinued as a dealer, but will still be very much in the business of providing SAAB service. I have no reason to believe that their service will suddenly be inferior to what I've received in the past 8 years.
So- Yes, I'm disappointed by this turn of events, but, no, I'm not worried.
