I don't have a great deal of confidence that Spyker is a very good candidate. There IS a possibility that others are waiting for GM to close Saab down and buy the assets and brand though as it could be a better deal then what GM is offering as a going concern. But how would they restart SAAB without all the technology sharing agreements? Based on what I see the most likely scenario is a) Spyker bid will fail and then b) GM will move to close Saab c) Saab management will execute a takeover with Swedish govt backing and a new technical partner like FIAT or Citroen/Peugeot.
