The news of Spyker giving it another go is nice to hear. But do you think GM really cares enough about their image to go back on their plan of winding down? The only people that are really angry with GM are Saab owners/loyalists like us. We've all been telling GM we're boycotting them for the rest of our lives, but I don't really think they care... Would any of us have ever considered a GM car even if this whole Saab fiasco had not occurred? I don't think so. Even if all of us vowed to never buy a GM car ever again, I don't think there are enough to put a scratch in the thin clear-coat of GM's sales. I feel so helpless right now.
If congressman weren't such bumbling clueless politician idiots I would probably write someone a letter tipping them off to how much of our tax dollars GM would be wasting to close down Saab. Plus putting 10,000 Swedish citizens out of work, not to mention all the dealership employees around the world and in the US. Don't forget all the money (Billions $$$) they spent developing, marketing, and setting up the TOOLING for the NG9-5 and getting no return on it. Ugh. I'm just praying someone at GM finds a nanogram of sense somewhere in their shallow heart to give Saab another chance (I've lost count of what number chance this would be).
