Is it a Dell by any chance? The PC in my kitchen is a Dell Optiplex (2.4-GHz) that I bought on eBay for $100. When I got it I formatted the HD and did a full load of XP-Pro, with all the MS updates. I run CA antivirus and eTrust Pest Patrol. Since I bought it, I have 2 other HDs loaded the same way. This PC will advance time randomly, on each of the HDs. I especially notice it on the weekends. But it hasn't done it in the last month or so. None of my other PCs do this, and I have 2 Compaq Presarios (with 12 bootable drives with XP-Pro or Vista Business), and a Dell Latitude running XP-Pro. You might want to use Run, and run 'msconfig' to see what is starting up, then start turning them off one at a time to see if it helps... Ron
