I don't know how patient you are but it can take 30 years for a car to become a classic from new. And you never quite know for sure what people will want that far in the future. The qualitites that make a car desireable now typically make it desirable in the future. The best approach is to buy a car YOU like. Drive it, enjoy it and if at some point it's worth some money then consider that a bonus. If it doesn't turn out to be worth a lot then you had the fun of driving it.
