I changed my rear brake lines, and had to take a brake until I got a part. I installed the line into the caliper, but completely forgot to check the bleeder valve. Of course, it was loose and all the brake fluid came out through it over the last 24 hours or so.
I looked under the hood, no more fluid. For the meantime, I filled it with some fluid that I had to the max mark. When I do get to the point of bleeding the brakes, is there anything special I need to do? The reason I ask is because someone had told me that if the fluid drains out, air will get into the master cylinder and that is not good. I have a pressure bleeder. I hope it'll all be fine...
Also, some fluid got onto the powder coated paint on the caliper. I know that this stuff eats through paint, but will it damage the hard rock coating?
Thanks as always, Bender
