I have had no issues with Dexcool in my 2005 9-3 CVT...

The car came with Dexcool and it seems to work just fine. I will say that at least some of the problems with Dexcool are because of ignorant service managers.
When I took my 2005 9-3 Aero CVT in to the dealer and asked to have the Dexcool coolant flushed, the service manager argued that it was unnecessary as the Dexcool coolant was 'good' for 100,000-miles. I pointd out to him that Dexcool is 'good' for 5 years or 100,000-miles and since my car was an early 2005, it had been 5 years. He stated that the dealership never replaced coolant at less than 100,000-miles unless dictated by a cooling system repair.
I wonder how many cooling sytems problems were caused by Dexcool being long past it's 5 year life?
