fuel mileage is a big deal to me. I don't like getting mileage in the teens and I love getting 30+ on the highway.
We live in NH and we see no penalty with the 9-5, four snow tires and traction control. Will it go anyplace an AWD or 4WD car will? Probably not, but it doesn't have to. It gets us to ski hills and around on semi-plowed roads in our hilly town with no issues. And it has great road manners for long trips no matter the weather or road.
If the 9-4 comes out as a hybrid or diesel, sign us up, but not with a gas engine and mediocre mileage. We did that with an Exploder and there's no reason to go back.
