If I was financially capable, I think now is a good tim Posted by bender [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() |
e to buy a Saab. Why not? If they're going to be sold off ultra cheap, and I can get my hands on a 2011 9-3...I'll buy a bunch of spare parts and keep them. I'm sure 90% of us here, being wrench monkeys, are capable of keeping one of these things running for many years to come if we just stock up on parts with the money that you're going to save.
It's just looking really attractive to me, that's for sure. Most of of those cars have been around long enough that parts are readily available (unlike the unfortunate 9-5 counterpart). I don't know much about the NG9-3 like I do the OG9-3s...but if one knows its issues and what to maintain proactively, if Saab ultimately does end (which I genuinely am hopeful by some means, something good happens), this by no way means I'm not driving Saabs anymore (I'm sure some people are panicking and trying to sell the cars ...), and so if I'm not, why not buy a new one?! Would make a *great* car for one that likes to maintain one's own car.
