Still ~59K worth of car

Or there-abouts. I am one that thought they priced this high yes, but now 2K miles into a Turbo6 XWD... (with plenty of butt time in that range in others), I am wholly impressed. Great ride - one of the best cars all around I've driven.
I think most are adding WAY too much value to a warranty. I'd much rather have my life than a new motor (did I mention I owe my own life to an '89 900S... no warrenty either.).
FYI - I did jump on a $39K deal, and if it went up in flames tomorrow - oh well. I'm certain I'll be another car soon enough (but not a GM).
If you can truly afford $30-40-50K, then you are smart enough to weigh the risks and eat some (maybe, maybe not). My '06 9.3 Aero with 52K miles has had ZERO wrong (minus the entire AC system 4K after the warranty went up, ah... probability. Even this needed some used parts to get it back in the game.).
I remind all that cars get you places. Sure, you want to look and feel good doing it. I add priceless value to getting places and safely (and avoid dying like the 35K unfortunate souls a year). A micro # of cars are investments. Most are like any Saab or any car - they break, get old, crack, chip, dent and eventually find the scrap yard.
I'm frustrated like many here, but relax some and enjoy the safe ride as others have mentioned.
One worry - parts. And even to this I say: Oh well, at the end of the day they are car parts, not kidneys.
Saab On!
