I was standing in front of my house a few years ago, not really doing anything, when I saw some old Ford Country Squire wagon moseying down the street. I watched as it pulled into the parking lot across from my house, and then as it targeted a parking space right next to my Suburban.
The driver was clearly not in control of his/her faculties, as it nearly missed the diagonal parking spot, clipping the Suburban's tire with it's bumper. I then watched as the Squire went scraping down the side of the truck at .035 miles per hour, with the horrible sound of metal-on-metal and the Suburban gently rocking from the contact.
The driver got all the way into the space, realized the problem, and then went scraping backwards out of the apace. They didn't even *pause*, just drove off like nothing had happened.
Fortunately the truck had some ancient, gnarly diamond plate running boards that took 99% of the damage, and it's not like the truck is/was a beauty queen or anything. But still, who does that???
