Then you shouldn't install the one I just picked up, would freak them out, they start thinking you got a ghost. The chamberlain myQ its got a sensor on the opener pad that's mounted in the garage and soon as the door from the house to the garage opens it turns the garage lights on, when the door is up and the pre set time has expired the lights turn off and soon as some one walks past the photo beam the lights turn on again that is if the sensor don't get them first. It has auto close if one forgets while leaving the house, battery back up, belt drive so its almost silent, remote outside key pad incase of accidental lockout, programs up to 6 opener remotes, tells the temp on the opener pad mounted in the garage, anti. beer can crushing (sensitive closing that detects someting is in the way) all remote lock out on the pad in the garage for when your sleeping a hoodlum dosent open your car door and use the garage remote in the car to gain access to the house, things awesome!! it had a big price tage but well worth it. Makes my old one look like a model A ford.
