I recall reading about this years ago in articles about the members of ABBA. Swedish TV & Radio put on a marathon "extravaganza" of national and local musical and other acts, all in the hopes of keeping people off the roads!
Still, a pretty amazing accomplishment!
I wonder if there were many incidents on the rondeller! (that's traffic circles, rotaries or roundabouts).
I still think the most interesting aspect was that Sweden always had left-hand-drive cars, even when they drove on the right!
