I'm currently rebuilding the AC system in my '97 9000 CSE and it is a fair amount of work, am replacing everything except the evaporator. (Of course I'm finding other stuff that needs attention as well while in there!)
The 9000's AC is actually easier to work on than many other cars but there is still a lot of disassembly involved. It's going slow since I have limited time to devote to the job. I have a C900 with ice cold AC to drive in the meantime, so there's no real rush.
I take it from your user name that you're working with a '96 9000 Aero?
