I have a magellan app on my iphone for when cell phone coverage is spotty, or I simply don't want to use my data. I think it cost me $39. Typically I use googlemaps.
Another great free navigation app is Trapster. It logs all of the known speed trap locations and gives you visual and audible warnings at whatever distance you set it to warn you. If you join the community and log in, you can even get warnings of live speed traps supplied by other members of the community. It also has all of the search and traffic capabilities of googlemaps.
The other cool feature is that when another member drives down a a road, it paints a blue line on the map where the driver has been in the last 1/2 hour. Since most of us are OCD about reporting the location of speed traps, this increases your confidence that a radar trap is not operating on the road.
I don't really push the speed limit by more than 5-10 mph, but it does give me piece of mind that I am not going to get dinged because my attention wandered and I found myself going 15 over.
