turns out those washers with the rubber edge deform the rubber on 1 side only, so if you flip them, they are still perfect on the other side for the second use :-). Maybe you could also reuse them once the rubber is squashed, but I haven't needed to yet... and for 49 cents, well, I'll just buy a couple dozen to have on hand.
Yeah, the 9-5 drain plug is slightly different shaped also iirc with a thick part at the base of the thread. Requires a non-standard washer size that is completely not available locally! The copper washer does work though. I don't think I've used one of the eeuroparts drain plugs, but I did swap in a c900 drain plug on the 9-5, so everything works great now! ha! c900's are awesome... 13mm is a key requirement for me also. Don't like to use a big socket there.
(I'm actually thinking of picking up one of those fancy magnetic drain plugs to try. Hopefully they work with all washers also.)
