Can you wear contact? If so, try multifocal

I wear both glasses and contact lenses. I wear the contacts during the day, and when I get home from work at night, I remove them and put on my glasses.
For the last 10 years or so, I've needed reading glasses. This always bothered me because, what is the point of having contact lenses if you need glasses to read?
About five years ago, I moved to Cleveland, and got a new optometrist. He recommended MultiFocal (i.e., bi-focal) contact lenses, they are two lenses in one (one for distance, one for up-close, i.e., reading.) I've been wearing them ever since. No need for reading glasses any longer.
If you can wear contacts, I'd definitely check them out.
