Congrats and as always - Thanks Scott !!

Answering the seemingly simple question of which of the Saabs I've owned was my favourite is BOTH simple AND complex at once.

The simple answer:
My favourite is the lovely moving work of art that I see when I look at my parking space - no matter which one it has been, today or in the past.

The complex answer began ~40 years ago...

I enjoyed the 99 models immensely - even the very early turbo I got in the desires to restore it which was never truly road legal;
The 900s and turbo cars were wonderful as well;
A bit later I learned that for me, the road from 900 to 9000 was made only for one-way travel - I became HUGELY spoiled !!
Since around Y2K the several cars I've enjoyed have all either been 9000 turbo or Aero models.

Of the lot, the only car which I could not enjoy properly was a red 9000 turbo that was too saturated with tobacco odours to ever be free of that horrid stench - and lucky for both of us it was stolen by a perfectly horrid man and I replaced that one with a nice, clean car.

Another car which is VERY worthy of note was the white '9000 turbo/5 sp. which I had the pleasure to enjoy for some time...
This is because despite its coming from a history of neglect - it was -almost- as much of a pleasure to drive as any of the 3 Aero cars which I have been lucky enough to enjoy before & after that one.

Presently, just waiting for me to go out & drive it is the wonderful, all-black '94 Aero that came from TN a bunch of years ago.

I was very fortunate to have gotten it from a wonderful & dedicated owner whom some members here will remember as 'Quasimotors'.

It was a very long drive in a rental car from VT to TN with an amazing younger friend (who happens also to be my Saab machanic..) and well worth the effort to get it, bring it home & have the speedo gear in it replaced.

Now - all these years later, when anyone is silly enough to ask me why I drive a 22 year old car - the most likely reply to anyone who has never been so blessed is...:

I will let go of this wonderful old car when it is pried from my cold, dead hands !!
