C'mon, you do have to consider yourself kind of lucky. Not all of us can afford to buy a brand new car. It was one of my life's wishes to be able to purchase a brand new Saab just once in my life. I managed to do it, thankfully, but my wife, who has only driven Saabs her entire life, has never purchased a brand new Saab. She has always purchased a nice, used Saab that she intended to drive a long time, but at some point, it has become time to sell the used car in favor of a newer Saab.
I am, however, with you on the grave part. I do intend to drive my Saabs for as long as possible... When I bought my brand new 9-2X Aero in August 2004, I intended to drive it over 300K. In 2016, at 95K, it was hit and destroyed by a guy who ran a stop sign. Luckily, I'm in another 2005 9-2X Aero (see my thread about it linked below) with half as many miles and am going for 300K+ again.
-Scott
One less 9-2X Aero in the world...
