My god... The press has used the word, "quirky" to describe Saab for decades. I don't really like it too, but it's because they don't look like every other car on the road, which is awesome. That's why they are special! Also, a lot of them have the ignition between the seats (although two of my current three don't)... Saab was the first to use turbochargers in general production cars which helped with fuel mileage and performance and they were world leaders in safety. Even when they got rid of the awesome hatchback (I never understood why Americans seemed to not be hatchback adopters, although nowadays I see hatchbacks everywhere - Saab was ahead of its time), their 9-3 and 9-5 sedans were also not your ordinary sedans. They had that trademark Saab, lean-forward, aggressive stance - kinda like the Nike swoosh or hockey stick design which I love so much.
