I don't have the Cayenne, but I do have a 2006 997S 6-speed that I love. One of my instructors at a HPDE track event has a Cayenne. One point he made was that there's a Porsche thread that runs through all their offerings from the cars to the SUV's. There's a Porsche feeling and quality. Knowing that, it's a least worth a test drive. Be sure you can find a trusty indie repair shop, you won't want to pay dealer prices for Porsche maintenance.
