Im not trying to convince you, or anyone, to use Zaino but it's misleading to suggest that Zaino's "advice to use lots of water" is misleading. The instructions are:
from the website: https://www.zainostore.com/product/Z-10.html:
------------------------
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
- For best results, apply every 60-90 days.
- Just wipe on and let dry. No buffing is necessary.
- Do not use an excessive amount.
- Allow your leather to dry thoroughly before using.
-----------------------
Only mention of water is for the heavily soiled leather, and then its only a damp rag to wipe up whatever cleaner you choose to use:
from the website: https://www.zainostore.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=guide_leather
-------------
If your leather is heavily soiled, use an upholstery (interior detailing) brush.
When finished be sure to remove all soap from the surface with a damp towel.
Rinse and wipe several times, then dry the leather with a fresh, dry towel.
------------
I'm not affiliated with Zaino, I'm just a real happy customer. I get a lot of positive comments on the car. I've heard great things about Leatherique as well. And prior to this post I've heard lots of folks that love Zymol.
