I have a similar problem with my recently acquired BMW with 73,000 miles. Car was always serviced at the dealer with OEM parts, so it's not cheap pads or rotors. From various forums, indicationa are pointing to worn rubber/hydraulic bushings in one (or both) of the front suspension links - the brakes grab, forcing the front wheels back, then they rebound forward, then repeat and it is felt as a vibration.
I'm not familiar with Saabaru suspensions, but you might want to check the tie rods, ball joints, control arm bushings and strut mounts.
Sometimes a "brake problem" is not actually a problem with the brakes.
