Yes!! There will be a Saab Owners’ Convention in 2021! Save those dates now: July 15-17, 2021, at the Desmond Hotel in Albany, NY.

Hosted at a different site every year, this long-running annual convention brings together Saab owners, enthusiasts, servicers, and all things Saab. The weekend is packed full of social events, educational panels, contests/competitions, meals, swap meets, and other fun activities.

Located in beautiful upstate New York, the Desmond Hotel is consistently voted among the city’s finest. Built in 1974 it has been completely renovated just in time for our visit. We are back by popular demand, because we had such a good time here at the Saab Owners’ Convention 2013.

For those coming from further afield, the Desmond is conveniently located just one mile from the Albany International Airport (ALB).

We are also hosting an exciting, optional track event on Thursday, July 15. Drive your own Saab on the 2.1-mile, 18-turn road track at New York Safety Track. The convention proper starts at The Desmond with the Sponsor Appreciation Dinner on Thursday evening. This will have its own event registration page, opening soon.

SOC 2021 event registration will open promptly on April 1, 2021. Event registration and hotel bookings are separate: you need to do both!

We will also have a Thursday track event this year, at the New York Safety Track, in Jefferson, NY, a little over an hour west of the Desmond.

We are closely following the changing Covid-19 situation in New York, as are our partners at The Desmond. Of course we will comply with all laws and regulations, and we will adhere to all applicable, official public-health guidelines. We are confident that, by July, things will be normal enough that we can hold our Convention with a minimum of changes to accommodate the restrictions. We have modified our refund policy accordingly, and even extended the early-bird discount until June 15th.
