Cheap tires aren't cheap to own

When I had my car dealership I can't tell you how many times I had to replace perfectly good looking cheapo tires. We had a Subaru that drove like '64 Jeep CJ with studded snow tires until we replaced the fairly new crap tires it had. Usually it wasn't quite that dramatic. I had a Toyota pickup I bought new. The factory tires lasted 30K. I put a set of Michelins on, which transformed how it drove and handled. They lasted 75,000 miles. I replaced those with a set of Generals which were ok, but nothing like the Michelins in comparison. Buy good tires and you'll never regret it. Cheap out and you may find yourself buying again long before you might have otherwise. It's 10/15k down the road when cheapo tires start showing their stripes. That's when they turn out to not be so cheap.
