Not really. We usually pull the thermostat put about a quart of CLR in with water and run the car for 15 minutes. Let it cool and repeat. Then just flush good with water to get it all out. The only we ever had to do a second time to clean it all out was a 1940's Chevy truck that was really bad. Good Luck, Bernie
