More modern might be tricky because all this stuff is kind of connected electronically. Eg swapping an 01 with an 04 seatbelt buckle in our 2004 9-5 caused an error message, and iirc illuminated a dash light. Then there would be the issue of any airbags in the seats etc. Heaters etc could probably be made to work one way or another, but the safety components might be the main issue. Bolting to the floor rails likely will require some significant adapting also. More cars have decent seats these days, but I still like our Saab ones more than most.
