Maybe "rip off" was a little strong, but even European Car Magazine mentioned the passing sytling cues from the Viggen. The four main points where the limited edition and the high output engine, the color (of course), and the nationality.
Yes, per the articles, I did know that it had 300 HP. The blue bolt was the main reason why I went to the Volvo lot to see it. I even drug a friend along with me - a fellow car buff, but we were both left cold. I kept telling him, "wait until you see this S60!" then when we got there like I said, we couldn't distinguish one from the other. At least before, I could tell the S70 from the S80! Not so with the S60. Just very disappointed, but these are only my opinions.
I shouldn't even acknowledge the question referring to the Viggen colors, as I am an avid Viggen fan, but OF COURSE I know there are other colors (available from 2000 on), but at least Lightning Blue is retired, making mine that much more rare.
